Bathrooms

A bathroom renovation lives or dies on the waterproofing, tiling and plumbing being done properly, since it's the room in the house that gets the least forgiving over time. We tank wet areas as standard and fit sanitaryware from most major suppliers.

What's included

How we approach it

Tanking and waterproofing as standard

Shower areas are tanked before tiling, not left to grout and silicone alone, so leaks into the floor below aren't a problem years down the line.

Walk-in showers and wet rooms

We form falls to a drain, fit the tray or wet room system, and tile to match, including level-access showers where step-free access matters.

Ventilation and heating sorted properly

Extraction and heated towel rail wiring are planned in at first fix, so the finished room doesn't suffer condensation once it's tiled and sealed.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

How long does a full bathroom renovation take?+

A full bathroom renovation, including re-tiling, new sanitaryware and plumbing, typically takes 2 to 3 weeks depending on the size of the room and whether layout changes are needed.

Can you fit a level-access or walk-in shower?+

Yes, this usually means lowering the floor joists slightly to form a fall to a drain, which we can do as part of the renovation if there's enough depth beneath the existing floor.

Will you deal with any damp or leak issues you find during the strip-out?+

Yes, we flag anything found during the strip-out, such as a failed shower seal or damp subfloor, before continuing, so it's fixed properly rather than tiled over.
